February 1997 · From humble beginnings
A private, Christian foundation school
Mirembe Junior School started as a private, Christian foundation school in February 1997, with the mission: "To lay the best foundation, nurture and develop an individual child into a useful citizen."
Along the way
We became more
Mirembe Junior became a household name in the community and the region at large, known as an affordable Uganda-curriculum school with high ethical and professional standards and an excellent academic record.
Now — 29 years later
Steady growth
Over the years we've added more to our education structure. Starting with the primary section, we steadily added the nursery section and, most recently, the day care section — so every child is cared for throughout their tender ages.
