The first five years matter most.
During the first five years of life is when a child absorbs the most. What is learnt in this time is the foundation of all learning.
Our focus.Nursery is open to children of 3 years plus. During the nursery year, speech and language continue to develop in an enjoyable way through storytelling and play. Numeracy and literacy skills come through matching numbers, colours and shapes. Motor skills develop through painting, cutting, tearing and using play dough.
Our end-goal at this stage.We make sure every child's reading becomes fluent with practice and more advanced phonic work. Formal writing is introduced as hand control becomes well established. Formal number work — addition and subtraction — is also introduced.
